The scheme was launched by the chief minister of the state Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada as a new year gift to the people of the state on January 1, 2017. The scheme offers health insurance cover up to the limit of Rs.2 lakh for each beneficiary. The enrollment process to obtain the health cards under the scheme has commenced across the state. The interested people of the state can avail apply at any Mee-Seva centers of the state. The applicants will have to pay Rs.1200 per head at the rate of Rs.100 per month. Any number of family members can enroll their names under the scheme by paying the requisite amount.
